(A) Dentate gyrus sections from MNK and wild type mice were stained with neuroblast marker DCX and PROX1 during postnatal brain development (P3∼P10). The number of DCX+ neuroblasts in the dentate gyrus of MNK mice was not different from that of wild type at P3. (B) Quantitative analysis of DCX+, PROX1+ cells during the postnatal development of the DG. More than 40% of DCX+ neuroblasts (arrowheads) were decreased at P7 and P10 in the DG of MNK mice.
